Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead HV substation projects within a collaborative team of engineers and designers. You will contribute to conceptualization, planning, and execution, and you may travel to client sites as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering, 7+ years in MV power systems, and strong communication and reporting skills. Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office is expected, with ABET accreditation and PE license

Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
7 or more years experience in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
Experience tracking project information such as schedules and expenditures against budgets.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.

Responsibilities

Take active role in project conceptualization, planning, and execution.
Handle challenging assignments: investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering issues.
Prepare reports presenting technical and project information to clients.
Develop knowledge through Communities of Practice.
May travel to client sites as needed.
