Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead MV/HV substations. You will drive project conceptualization, planning, and execution for high voltage projects, while overseeing technical quality and client communication.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of MV power design experience, strong writing and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within budgets. Occasional client-site travel may be required, with a hybrid office schedule in place.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in engineering and 7+ years in MV power systems design.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple projects within time and budget constraints.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience reviewing design drawings.
• PE license preferred; knowledge of ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project conceptualization, planning, and execution in HV substations.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare clear, client-ready reports per S&L formats.
• Possibility to travel to client sites as needed.
