Job summary

Toth and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineer III/IV in Kennewick, WA to independently design electrical substation projects for utilities, industrials, and renewables.

You will develop yard layouts, protection schemes, and grounding, while guiding junior engineers and collaborating with project teams. Required are a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), 5–9 years of experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Demonstrated ability to execute substation design tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical judgment skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and independently design substation components including layouts, grounding, protection, and control systems.
• Develop and review schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and BOMs for planning and construction.
• Coordinate with PMs and clients to resolve technical challenges and implement solutions.
