Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Houston seeks a Lead Physical Engineer to head the substation physical design efforts for large-scale renewable energy projects.

You will mentor a three to five person design team and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver compliant, well-documented layouts. The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's in electrical engineering, 7–9 years of substation experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
• 7-9 years of experience in substation design and engineering.
• PE License and strong written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of 35kV to 500kV substation layouts.
• Mentor a physical design team of 3–5 engineers/designers.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and ensure compliance with codes.
