Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee the development, design, maintenance and operation of the transmission and distribution system. The role coordinates failure evaluation and provides support to operations during unplanned maintenance.

You will supervise engineers, shape the Life Cycle Plan over multiple years, ensure design standards, and guide project execution. Travel between NH, MA, and CT is expected; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 8–10 years in technical/operational engineering in the electrical utility industry; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of utility power systems; ability to lead projects with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, and develops engineers; conducts performance reviews.
• Assigns and directs work for at least 2 FTE Engineers.
• Develops Life Cycle Plan activities over a multi-year horizon.
• Ensures design and specification of additions, modifications and replacements are completed accurately and on time.
• Provides technical support to operating areas during normal and emergency situations.
• Accountable for root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
