Job summary

Eversource Energy seeks a Lead Engineer to oversee the development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the system ensuring safe, reliable electric service. This role coordinates failure evaluation and supports operations on unplanned maintenance while sharing accountability in the Life Cycle Plan development.

Lead Engineer will supervise staff, create preliminary designs, and provide technical guidance to operations. Travel to MA/CT/NH regions may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 8–10 years in electrical utility engineering or related area.
• Willingness to travel between MA/CT/NH as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, and directs work of engineers; manages priorities.
• Develops Life Cycle Plan activities over multi-year horizon and for projects.
• Ensures design and specifications for transmission/distribution work are accurate and timely.
• Provides technical support during normal and emergency conditions.
• Performs root-cause analysis and implements corrective actions.
