Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive the design, maintenance, and operation of the transmission and distribution system, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost‑effective service. You will supervise engineers, develop long‑term plans, and coordinate cross‑functional projects to support emergency readiness and ongoing improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 8–10 years of experience with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of utility power systems preferred.
• Ability to independently develop, present and execute new projects with cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with power-related software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, and develops engineers; assigns and directs work for at least 2 FTE engineers.
• Oversees cost and performance of assets; conducts reliability analysis and monitors equipment condition.
• Develops and approves Life Cycle Plan activities over multi-year horizon and for ongoing projects.
• Ensures design and specification additions/modifications are completed accurately and on time; prepares permits and notifications.
