Job summary

Eversource Energy in Massachusetts seeks a Lead Engineer to oversee the design, maintenance and operation of the transmission and distribution systems. The role includes lifecycle planning, project evaluation and storm support, coordinating with peers to meet safety, reliability and environmental goals.

The ideal candidate will supervise engineers, direct work priorities across teams and ensure adherence to engineering standards while providing technical guidance during normal and emergency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum of eight (8) years in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, and develops engineers; assigns, prioritizes and directs work.
• Supports design, maintenance and operation of transmission/distribution systems.
• Collaborates with engineering teams to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Provides technical support and direction during normal and emergency situations.
• Leads root-cause analysis and implements corrective actions.
