Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee the development, design, maintenance, and operation of its transmission and distribution system. The role coordinates evaluation of failures, supports operations during unplanned events, and ensures high quality standards for safe and reliable service.

You will guide substation engineering and DER interconnect reviews with ISO-NE and participate in storm duty as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, Electrical preferred.
• Minimum eight years in electrical utility engineering, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to develop and implement new projects through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop engineers; assign and prioritize work.
• Oversee cost and performance of system assets including reliability analysis.
• Develop Life Cycle Plan activities over multi-year horizon.
• Ensure design and specifications for transmission/distribution additions and modifications are accurate and timely.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure consistency and teamwork.
• Provide technical support during normal and emergency operations.
