KBR, Inc is seeking a Manager, Subcontracts to lead the subcontracting efforts for a major on-site construction project in Port Sulphur, LA. The role oversees the Subcontracts team and drives pre-award through closeout activities, ensuring compliance and alignment with project goals.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in subcontract formation with strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills, plus a focus on decarbonization and energy transition within the energy/chemical sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; 15+ years of subcontract formation and administration would be ideal.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, risk awareness, and attention to detail.
• Decarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Subcontracts team in supporting construction activities for a major project
• Oversee all phases of subcontracting, including Pre-award: bidder qualification, preparation and issuance of ITBs, and coordination of commercial and technical evaluations; Post-award: contract finalization, administration, change management, invoicing, reporting, and contract closeout
• Serve as the primary Subcontracts interface with Client, Project Management Team, and internal KBR stakeholders
• Develop and implement subcontracting strategies to support project execution and mitigate commercial risk
• Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure consistent processes, compliance, and performance across the team
• Contribute to the development and improvement of subcontracting processes, tools, and procedures
• Ensure subcontract files and documentation are maintained in accordance with company standards
• Complete site assignment in accordance with KBR’s terms and conditions
