Job summary

S&B is seeking a Lead Subcontracts Representative to oversee a team of Subcontracts Administrators on high-dollar, technically complex projects. The role requires independent judgment in evaluating subcontracting techniques and adapting standard processes.

The position interfaces with clients and impacts cost containment, efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in subcontracts within industrial power/EPC sectors, strong T&Cs knowledge, and experience negotiating complex

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 10 years of related subcontracts experience in Industrial Power, Energy, EPC, or Heavy Industrial Construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of contractual terms, indemnification, liability, insurance, warranties, and risk management principles.
• Proven ability to negotiate commercial agreements and contract modifications to align with policies and client requirements.
• Preference for EPC project experience with major subcontracts on power projects or facilities.
• Extensive experience in Subcontracts Management and project setup including templates and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop Project Subcontracting Plans and Procedures.
• Develop Project Bidders List and manage RFQ processes.
• Consult with engineering and construction management to clarify material and scope requirements.
• Review subs, negotiate terms, and recommend cost reductions and favorable terms.
• Ensure alignment of subcontract terms with project objectives and risk management.
