Job summary

Bechtel is leading a large-scale semiconductor facility project in New Albany, Ohio. The HVAC/Process Duct/Fire Protection Lead owns technical direction across all HVAC, ductwork and fire protection subcontracts, guiding STRs and ensuring consistent field execution and quality across the project.

The role reports to the Subcontract Construction Manager and partners with Engineering, QA and Procurement to align scope, turnover readiness, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of SMACNA and MFMA standards.
• Able to read isometrics, P&IDs, orthographics, and other design drawings.
• Experience leading technical reps or field engineers across multiple subcontract packages.
• Familiarity with Bechtel work processes and industry codes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical and field coordination authority between project team and HVAC, process duct, and fire protection subcontractors.
• Direct daily subcontractor coordination across multiple packages and enforce common technical standards.
• Mentor STRs, balance assignments, and escalate safety/quality/schedule concerns.
• Coordinate with Procurement/Project Controls/Engineering to support subcontract formation and turnover readiness.
