Job summary

AeroVironment in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator III to support the senior subcontracts team in managing procurement and subcontract activities for government and commercial programs. You will ensure contractual and regulatory compliance across internal teams.

The role includes cradle-to-grave support for RFPs and subcontract agreements, tracking deliverables, and assisting with invoices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of procurement, subcontracts, or supply chain management experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of procurement and government contracting principles (FAR/DFARS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide cradle to grave administrative support for the preparation, issuance, and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and subcontract agreements.
• Assist in tracking subcontractor and internal deliverables, ensuring compliance with contract terms, schedules, and budgets.
• Maintain and update procurement files, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Support invoice review and reconciliation processes, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors as needed.
• Participate in subcontract negotiations alongside senior staff to develop terms and conditions.
• Assist in preparing reports, metrics, and presentations to support team objectives and decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address subcontractor issues and support program needs.
• Perform additional duties as required by senior subcontracts administrators and management.
• Other duties as assigned
