Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Structural Analyst to join the Lunar Permanence team, developing reliable spaceflight structures and testing correlations. You will apply physics-based methods and FE modeling to critical space vehicle components, contributing to safe, cost-effective access to space.

The role emphasizes static/dynamic analysis, load development, and close collaboration with engineers across disciplines to advance Blue Origin's missions on the Moon and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in structural analysis of space/aerospace vehicles/structures.
• Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals.
• Experience with physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, 3rd party tools).
• Familiarity with space vehicle structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods.
• Conduct acceleration, shock, and vibration analyses.
• Develop, refine, validate FE models and correlate to tests.
• Support configuration development and trade studies of separation mechanisms.
• Apply structural/environmental loads development and validation.
