Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in structural steel.
• Proficiency in estimating software Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM.
• In-depth knowledge of AISC standards and their application.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel components of construction projects.
• Use Estimating Software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM to develop estimates.
• Evaluate and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation for time, cost and labor estimates.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather and clarify information.
• Maintain current understanding of steel market pricing and trends to ensure competitive estimates.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project proposal meetings.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members on project execution strategies.
• Ensure compliance with AISC and other industry standards in estimates and project plans.
