Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator focused on Structural Steel in Kernersville, NC. This permanent, on-site role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for structural steel components, reviewing drawings, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate, compliant bids.

The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of estimating experience in construction, strong knowledge of AISC standards, and proficiency with steel estimating software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, focusing on structural steel
• Proficiency with steel estimating software and blueprints
• Knowledge of AISC standards and industry regulations
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel components
• Analyze drawings and specs to estimate time, cost, and labor
• Use Fabsuite, Fabtrol and Tekla EPM to improve accuracy
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors on changes
• Conduct risk analysis and mitigation planning
• Maintain supplier and client relationships and negotiate prices
• Prepare and present progress reports and estimates
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Help train junior estimators
• Stay updated on industry trends
