Jobot is seeking a dynamic Permanent Estimator focused on Structural Steel in Alameda, CA. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, collaborating with project teams, clients, and vendors, and ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering, 5+ years in structural steel estimating, and proficiency with Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM. Travel for site visits and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years estimating experience in structural steel.
• Proficiency in Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM.
• In-depth knowledge of AISC standards.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for precise estimates.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel components of construction projects.
• Use Estimating Software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM to develop precise estimates.
• Evaluate and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather information necessary for accurate estimating.
• Maintain a current understanding of steel market pricing and trends to ensure estimates are competitive.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project proposal meetings.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop strategies for project execution.
• Ensure compliance with AISC and other industry standards in all estimates and project plans.
