Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Estimator for Structural Steel in Naches, WA. The role focuses on preparing detailed estimates from plans, performing quantity take-offs, and developing bid proposals for structural steel projects.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years in structural steel estimation, strong math skills, and proficiency with Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC. On-site role with growth opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of structural steel estimation experience.
• Proficient with Estimating Software including Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specs and performing quantity take-offs.
• Develop complete and accurate bid proposals for Structural Steel projects.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking.
• Explain contracts and technical information to other professionals.
• Use Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM for data analysis and budgeting.
• Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with latest techniques and materials; adjust estimation process.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure cost efficiency.
