Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator focused on Structural Steel to join a dedicated team in the construction industry. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze plans, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to manage cost risk.

The role emphasizes accuracy, relationships with suppliers and clients, and adherence to industry standards, with opportunities for professional growth in a permanent position.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating with a focus on structural steel.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM.
Extensive knowledge of AISC standards and related regulations.
Strong math/analytical skills for interpreting blueprints and specs.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel components of projects.
Analyze blueprints and documents to estimate time, cost, and labor.
Use software to improve efficiency and accuracy of estimates.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors on cost changes.
Develop and present progress reports on estimates and projects.
