MPI in Detroit is seeking an experienced Steel Estimator to join the team on major structural steel and fabrication bids. The role targets candidates with 7+ years of estimating experience who want to own bids, work on complex projects, and contribute to a collaborative, high-caliber team.

Key duties include structural/miscellaneous steel estimating, hard bids, negotiated proposals, and close work with preconstruction and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing cost estimates for steel construction work.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Ability to complete material and labor quantity takeoffs.
• Experience gathering and evaluating supplier and subcontractor pricing.

Responsabilités

• Independently prepare detailed estimates and competitive proposals.
• Own bids for large-scale steel projects and collaborate with preconstruction and operations.
• Estimate structural and miscellaneous steel estimating tasks and deliverables.
