Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd. seeks a Project Manager - Structural Engineering in New York City to lead large-scale infrastructure projects.

You will direct a team of engineers, coordinate complex designs, and serve as the primary client contact to ensure seamless execution. Responsibilities include leading client meetings, reviewing drawings for standards compliance, and providing on-site support with field inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience (New York or New Jersey preferred).
• PE license preferred in NY or NJ.
• Experience coordinating with public agencies (NJDOT, NJTP, NJTransit, PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, TBTA).
• Proficiency in LARSA and other finite element design software.
• Skilled in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (Revit a plus).
• Strong knowledge of industry codes (AASHTO, AISC, ACI, AREMA, IBC).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct staff in the preparation of construction drawings and specifications.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless project coordination.
• Lead client meetings and provide technical expertise on project execution.
• Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Conduct field inspections and provide on-site construction support.
• Assist with heavy lift planning, rigging design, temporary shoring, bridge load rating, demolition engineering, and construction sequencing.
