Job summary

Conrad Consulting in New York City is seeking a Structural Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of structural engineering projects from concept through construction. You will own project delivery, manage client relationships, and mentor junior staff while remaining hands-on in design.

The role offers leadership opportunities toward Senior Project Manager and is anchored in a collaborative, growth-oriented practice with prominent NYC projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience, including managing building projects.
• PE license preferred, or actively progressing toward licensure.
• Strong design experience with steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation systems.
• Experience managing clients, project teams, budgets, and schedules.
• Proficiency with structural software such as ETABS, RAM, SAFE, RISA-3D, or similar.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of NYC Building Code, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and relevant design standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple structural engineering projects from proposal through construction.
• Lead the structural design and delivery of commercial, residential, mixed-use, institutional, and high-rise projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
• Review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress internally and externally.
• Mentor and oversee junior engineers and designers.
• Perform site visits and provide engineering support throughout construction.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to applicable codes and technical standards.
