Job summary

Apex Structural Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer III in Nashville to lead advanced structural analysis and design. You will work under project executives, coordinating with architects, MEP teams, and contractors while guiding junior engineers.

Responsibilities include developing complex models, applying design codes, and delivering coordinated construction documents. This role emphasizes technical judgment, BIM collaboration, and ongoing development in steel and concrete design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus.
• PE certification.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Advanced understanding of building codes, materials and standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural analysis and design of complex components and systems.
• Develop and evaluate three-dimensional gravity and lateral building models.
• Review calculations and ensure conformance with Apex standards.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors during design and construction.
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP/FP drawings and models for coordination.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and participate in IAQ/QA processes.
