Apex Structural Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer III to lead advanced structural analysis and design efforts for complex building systems. You will work under Project Executives and Managers, applying codes, standards, and Apex’s guidelines.

The role emphasizes technical judgment, modeling proficiency, and multidisciplinary coordination. From project inception through construction, you will develop documentation, review calculations, and mentor less-experienced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• PE certification and licensure favored.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Advanced understanding of building codes, materials, and standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with structural design software and BIM.
• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural analysis and design of complex components using codes and standards.
• Develop and evaluate 3D gravity and lateral models and loading conditions.
• Review calculations and ensure design intent and Apex standards.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines for coordination issues.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for constructability.
• Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Contribute to Apex Technical Advisory Groups and standards development.
