Job summary

McMillen, Inc. designs and builds solutions shaping the future of water resources. The Senior Structural Project Manager will lead multi-discipline teams, grow client relationships, and contribute to business development in dams, energy, fisheries, infrastructure, and natural resources markets.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license (SE and NCEES preferred), 12+ years of water resources experience, and 10+ years as a project manager. Travel up to 15% may be required; on-site work in Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited University.
• Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
• 15+ years of structural design experience in water resource related work.
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager preferred.
• PE license required; SE license preferred; NCEES registration preferred.
• Familiarity with Federal Agencies and/or Public Utilities.
• Proficient knowledge of design codes and standards.
• Design-Build and/or Construction experience (preferred).
• Travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the preparation of complete project documents from design development reports through construction documents.
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply advanced structural design techniques, procedures, and criteria to projects.
• Effectively manage multi-discipline teams, assign tasks and direct other engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
• Collect and analyze existing data by performing field investigations and reviewing as-built plans and engineering reports.
• Identify project opportunities and assist with proposals to provide professional services.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for projects.
• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
• Evaluate and manage planning, design and construction support services for projects.
