Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced Loads Engineer to support launch vehicle Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) development and execution, ensuring accurate inputs and outputs for internal and government customers.

You will develop finite element models, perform reductions using Component Modal Synthesis, and create math models and simulations for loads analysis, handling large data sets and HPC tasks in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Passion for aerospace vehicle structural loads and related analysis.
• Finite Element Modeling experience.
• NASTRAN and MATLAB proficiency.
• Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods.
• Ability to process and present data for engineering applications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national or have eligible US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Launch vehicle Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) development and execution with cross-discipline input.
• Documentation and communication of CLA results for customers.
• Finite Element Model development/refinement, validation, and correlation to tests.
• Finite Element Model reduction using Component Modal Synthesis methods.
• General loads development for launch vehicles and ground systems.
• Development of mathematical models and simulations for loads analysis.
• Management of large datasets, post-processing of data for engineering applications.
