Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Beaumont, TX, seeks a Structural Technical Specialist II to lead a team of designers and deliver civil/structural drawings on time and within budget. The role focuses on coordinating with engineers, drafting, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You will mentor junior staff, review drawings, perform field support as needed, and help develop cost estimates and schedules for small projects.

Qualifications

• Requires 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in civil/structural drafting and design.
• Knowledge and application of AISC and ACI standard details.
• Ability to produce drawings for concrete and structural steel, and/or civil disciplines.
• Familiarity with specifications and installation details of construction bulk materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to a team of designers and lead a project delivery effort.
• Review and coordinate civil/structural drawings and ensure compliance with standards.
• Mentor entry level staff and coordinate design development with other disciplines.
• Develop construction cost estimates, schedules and man-hour budgets for projects.
• Lead front-end layout and design of complex systems and equipment and support field activities.
