Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Houston, TX seeks a lead civil/structural engineer to supervise and direct a team of engineers and designers. You will be responsible for delivery of civil/structural deliverables on time, within budget, and to quality standards, serving as a technical specialist on complex projects.

The role emphasizes project controls, cost and schedule tracking, client communication, and mentoring staff, with a focus on design, calculations, and construction specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 20+ years of relevant civil/structural experience.
• Experience in estimating, scheduling and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver civil/structural projects on time and within budget.
• Review and approve deliverables and construction estimates.
• Develop design criteria, scope, and cost baselines in line with codes and client requirements.
• Prepare construction specifications and material takeoffs.
• Coordinate with discipline leaders and clients; mentor staff and manage project controls.
