Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Structural Engineering Resource Leader with extensive civil/structural experience to supervise a team of engineers. You will provide technical direction and ensure on-time delivery within budget and quality standards at the Beaumont office.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in civil/structural engineering and management, PE registration preferred, and strong cost control, scheduling, and client coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Structural coursework is required for structural positions.
• Registration: Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• Experience: Requires 10 or more years of relevant industrial experience in civil/structural engineering and management.

Responsibilities

• Review and approval of civil/structural deliverables.
• Validation of professional services and construction estimates at project onset and tracking changes as the project progresses.
• Accomplishing engineering activities such as stress analysis, construction specifications, material procurement specifications, calculations and estimates.
• Developing conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine the simplest, most efficient approach to solving engineering tasks.
• Establishing the design criteria, incorporating client requirements, estimate and/or scope basis and design basis meeting applicable standards and codes.
• Planning and organizing the work of your team and communicating the plan to leadership and clients.
• Maintaining control of the project by tracking budget, schedule commitments, and quality standards.
