Job summary

Alpine, an ITW company, seeks an Engineering Team Lead to guide a high-performing team of engineers and designers in delivering safe, code-compliant truss solutions across North America.

You will oversee workload, collaborate with sales and software teams, and drive continuous improvement, delivering training and maintaining engineering standards to strengthen customer trust and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering with emphasis on statics and material mechanics.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience; PE certification required.
• Experience with truss engineering or drafting for building components preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and design standards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of engineers and designers while fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Prioritize, assign, and manage incoming work to meet customer deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
• Review and guide complex truss designs, ensuring solutions are safe, code-compliant, and practical.
• Provide technical support, consult on design challenges, and conduct site visits to resolve structural issues and strengthen customer relationships.
• Partner with sales, technical teams, and software development to improve tools, workflows, and customer outcomes.
• Champion engineering standards, deliver training, and drive process improvements to enhance consistency and performance.
