Raytheon is seeking a mid-level Senior Structural Engineer in Tucson, AZ for the Mechanical Analysis and Test department. You will perform detailed structural analyses across program phases, generate test plans, analyze data, and lead peer reviews to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years, plus experience with major FE tools. On-site role with competitive RTX benefits.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience or an Advanced Degree with 3 years.
• Experience in structural analysis software such as PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS, ABAQUS.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analyses to support all program phases.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware to requirements.
• Analyze test data to validate and correlate models and loads.
• Work with limited oversight on complex problems under cost/schedule constraints.
• Coordinate and lead technical peer reviews to ensure accuracy.
• Present results to internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Generate detailed archival technical reports.
• Travel to test sites to support test or design discussions.
• Act as technical leader and help develop MA&T processes and tools.
