Tetra Tech is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join the Power team. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States.

The incumbent will lead small project teams, produce structural calculations, and coordinate with clients and vendors to finalize design and procurement deliverables. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in structural engineering, with a Civil/Structural degree and California licensure, and strong skills in AutoCAD, STAAD, and PLS-CADD.

Competenze

• 5+ years of structural engineering experience, focusing on structural steel and foundation design for high voltage substations, transmission lines, industrial facilities, and power projects.
• A Bachelors’ Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and licensure as a Professional Engineer in California (USA).
• Experience with transmission station structures and overhead lines with voltages ≥115 kV.
• Experience in heavy industrial structures (steel, concrete, wood, masonry)—preferably in power industry and consulting.
• Strong computer skills: AutoCAD, MS Office; experience with STAAD, SFrame, RISA; transmission line software PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole & Tower; SAGSEC and CAISSON as applicable.
• Experience in business development and civil design is a plus.
• Ability to lead multidiscipline design teams, communicate clearly, and manage multiple projects independently.

Mansioni

• Independently perform structural design calculations and prepare markups for drafts.
• Lead project teams to coordinate small projects.
• Coordinate with discipline leads, PMs, vendors, contractors, and clients for design information and construction support.
• Maintain project timelines and tracking of tasks and design documents.
• Prepare and verify designs, drawings, and procurement deliverables.
• Prepare requisitions, review supplier bids and technical submissions; participate in inspections for procurement.
