Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Structural Engineer, based in California or remote with CA residency, to lead major civil/structural design efforts for substations. The role emphasizes seismic design, structural reviews, and development of bid/construction packages.

Qualifications

Bachelors of Science (BS) in Civil-Structural Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 5+ years.
PE License in California is required; SE license is preferred.
Extensive experience with structural design and review for substation components under seismic loading; strong client management is essential.

Responsibilities

Lead design reviews of civil/structural components for substation projects.
Develop bid/construction packages and guide junior staff.
Perform site visits to client substation facilities and occasional travel for meetings.
Ensure compliance with codes and industry standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, IBC).
