Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Beaumont, TX seeks a Structural Engineer IV to lead complete design tasks for complex civil/structural projects. The role requires extensive experience and involves applying advanced engineering techniques under general supervision in our Beaumont office.

Responsibilities include leading design efforts, performing advanced calculations, coordinating with drafters and cross-disciplinary teams, and ensuring conformance to codes and client specs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• Requires 6+ years of relevant industrial civil/structural experience.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with project scope, specs, and design criteria on assigned tasks.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient approaches.
• Produce preliminary designs and material take-offs for project estimates.
• Prepare design calculations and sketches for materials of construction.
• Lead small to large teams coordinating civil/structural efforts within scope, schedule and budget.
• Review vendor drawings and discipline inputs for conformance to drawings and specs.
