Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Staff Structural Engineer for a hybrid USA role. You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, utilities, and rail sectors.

The position requires 6+ years of project experience, a PE license or near-term EIT, and proficiency in USA codes and tools such as RISA, ETABS, Revit, BIM, and AutoCAD. Some travel within the United States is expected.

Qualifications

• 6 or more years of relevant structural engineering project experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License or Senior EIT candidate expecting PE within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills with critical thinking and initiative.
• Excellent working knowledge of USA National codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC).
• Strong technical software skills: RISA, ETABS, BIM tools, Revit, AutoCAD.
• Effective communication skills - oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Engineer of Record (EOR) to establish codes, loads, analysis methods, and tools; seismic analysis experience is a plus.
• Perform technical work with an increased level of complexity with senior review.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines, staff, clients, and subcontractors across project life cycle; communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Exercise judgment on details and select engineering alternatives.
• Perform Construction Administration duties including field reports, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
• Travel as needed for project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits.
