Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (PE) to join our USA Structural Engineering Team. This role offers senior technical leadership across projects for manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, technology, utilities, and rail sectors, with 20% travel across the US.

Based in the US, you can work from Arcadis offices, a home office, or in a hybrid arrangement while guiding teams, delivering design solutions, and ensuring compliance with IBC, ACI, and AISC standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of relevant structural engineering experience in the United States.
Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in the United States (multiple state licenses preferred).
Strong knowledge of structural design codes, wind and seismic design, materials, and construction means and methods.
Ability to communicate concepts and ideas to diverse audiences of Architects, Engineers, and Owner clients.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical authority for assigned engineering programs and initiatives; oversee engineering alternatives.
Mentor and coach structural engineers to reach their potential.
Serve as Engineer of Record on projects; manage budgets, schedules, and scopes of work.
Collaborate with various disciplines, staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Apply knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC).
Develop calculations, plans, specs, proposals, and other contract documents.
Review others’ work for accuracy and timeliness; manage project budgets and schedules.
Perform Construction Administration duties (field reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders).
Travel for client meetings, charettes, and site visits as required.
