Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Structural Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Group, focusing on design/analysis for new facilities and upgrades. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable nuclear plant structures and support drawings, calculations, and specifications.

The role offers remote work with periodic travel, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits. A BS in Civil Engineering with ABET accreditation and 5+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience on project teams in design/analysis of structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, ANSYS) and design codes (ASCE 7, AISC, ACI).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design calculations, develop specifications, and support designers with drawings.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
• Travel to client/vendor offices for design reviews and plant-site coordination.
