Job summary

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Senior Engineer in our Structural Practice in California. You will own increasingly complex analysis, design, and detailing tasks, contribute to projects of varying scales, and mentor junior staff while engaging with clients and teams across disciplines.

You’ll refine construction documents in BIM environments and collaborate with architects, builders, and engineers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of structural engineering experience with proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, StructurePoint and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of structural analysis, design, and detailing tasks of growing complexity across building types.
• Develop and refine construction documents in a BIM environment.
• Collaborate with architects, builders, and engineers from multiple disciplines and coordinate effectively.
