Thornton Tomasetti, a global engineering firm, seeks a Project Engineer in our Structural Practice in California. You will lead complex design challenges, guide junior engineers, and influence project delivery with strong engineering judgment.

The role requires a Civil/Structural/Architectural background, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency with SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, StructurePoint, and Revit. PE/SE licensure is preferred and leadership potential is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering required or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience with proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, StructurePoint and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead and refine structural analysis, design, and detailing tasks.
• Review junior staff work and tailor outputs to project scope.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers and assume more technical decision-making.
• Mentor junior team members through delegation and feedback.
• Assist with project management, proposals, and client-facing activities.
