Job summary

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a senior structural engineer to lead design across office, healthcare, commercial, and residential projects. You will supervise staff, perform analyses, and coordinate with clients while delivering high-quality structural drawings.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of relevant experience, a PE or SE license, and proficiency in RAM, ETABS, RISA, AutoCAD and REVIT.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with focus on structures; Master's degree is a plus.
PE or SE license required; 6–10 years of relevant structural design experience.
Experience in design of new buildings, renovations, and additions.
Proficient in RAM, ETABS, RISA, AutoCAD and REVIT.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings to ensure accuracy.
Perform field reviews and surveys of existing structures under construction.
Support construction administration through submittals reviews and RFIs.
Contribute to project financial success by efficient resource utilization.
Provide leadership to structural engineers, Revit operators, and staff.
Develop analyses and design calculations and prepare structural drawings for projects.
Communicate with clients and consultants to understand project requirements.
Engage in professional networking and organizational participation.
