Job summary

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a senior structural engineer to lead diverse structural projects. You will work on high-visibility assignments and collaborate with a team of professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a PE/SE license and 6–10 years of structural design experience across office, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use sectors. Limited work-from-home is available for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree a plus.
• PE or SE license required with 6–10 years in structural design.
• Experience on office, commercial, healthcare, sports, residential, and mixed-use projects.
• Proficiency in RAM, ETABS, RISA, AutoCAD and REVIT required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control reviews of calculations and drawings to ensure standards.
• Perform field reviews for projects under construction.
• Contribute to construction administration including submittals and RFIs.
• Support project financials by efficient staffing and resource use.
• Lead and coordinate among structural engineers, drafters and staff.
• Develop structural analyses and drawings for assigned projects.
• Communicate with clients and consultants to define project requirements.
• Engage in professional organizations and networking.
