Job summary

Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered in Silver Spring, MD seeks a structural engineer to work on high visibility projects across offices, healthcare, residential and commercial sectors. This full-time role offers a limited work-from-home schedule and opportunities for professional development.

The candidate will design and analyze structural elements, read contract plans, perform field reviews, and support construction administration under the Structural Group manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (with focus on structures); Master’s degree is a plus.
• EIT certification required.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in structural design of commercial, institutional, residential or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in RAM, ETABS, RISA, AutoCAD and REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations (beam, column, slab, foundation, walls for wood, concrete, steel, and masonry structures).
• Reading and developing contract plans and specifications.
• Performing field review for projects under construction and surveys of existing structures.
• Constructio n administration duties such as reviewing submittals and RFIs.
