Job summary

DHA is seeking a senior structural engineer in Silver Spring, MD, to work on high-visibility structural projects. The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of experience, a PE or SE license, and proficiency with RAM, ETABS, RISA, AutoCAD and REVIT. The role includes field reviews, construction administration, and client coordination.

Limited work-from-home schedule is offered. Applicants should be self-motivated, team-oriented and able to lead junior staff while serving diverse clients in office,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or architectural Engineering (focus on structures). Master’s degree a plus.
• PE or SE license required. 6–10 years of structural design experience in commercial, institutional, residential or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct QC reviews to ensure calculations and drawings meet standards and quality requirements.
• Perform field reviews and surveys of existing structures.
• Contribute to construction administration: review submittals and RFIs.
• Support project financial success through efficient staff/resource use.
• Lead and direct structural engineers, REVIT operators, and staff.
• Develop structural analysis and drawings for assigned projects.
• Communicate with clients and consultants to capture project requirements.
• Engage with professional organizations and activities.
