Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer to provide customer-oriented design and construction services to clients nationwide and in the Western Region. Posting locations include Chicago, Lisle, Normal, Peoria, Springfield, IL or St.

Louis, MO. The role requires a Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.) and 8–15 years of experience in structural design and construction administration across building structures and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering with emphasis in structures.
• 8–15 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation of existing structures.
• Experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry or wood materials.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems.
• Perform structural analysis and design for Energy and Industrial structures and related systems.
• Develop construction documents and provide construction administration services.
• Perform site visits, client meetings, and coordination with the project team.
