Job summary

Farnsworth Group, a nationwide architectural, engineering, and surveying firm, is seeking a Structural Engineer in Normal, IL; Peoria, IL; Springfield, IL; or St. Louis, MO.

You will deliver customer‑oriented design and construction services to clients across the Central Region. You will perform structural analysis and design for buildings and energy/industrial structures, develop construction documents, and coordinate with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (required) or Master's degree (preferred) in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
• 5-8 years of structural engineering experience
• Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation of existing structures
• Experience designing with common construction materials: steel, concrete, masonry or wood
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
• Revit and/or AutoCAD proficiency preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems.
• Perform structural analysis and design for Energy and Industrial structures and related systems.
• Develop construction documents and provide construction administration services.
• Perform site visits, client meetings, and coordination with the project team.
