Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Structural Engineer for a role in the Central Region, with posting locations in Normal, Peoria, Springfield, IL or St. Louis, MO. You will deliver customer-oriented design and construction services nationwide.

Responsibilities include structural analysis for buildings, energy and industrial structures, plus creating construction documents and performing site visits with clients and the project team. A strong multi-disciplinary team player will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures.
• 5–8 years of structural engineering experience
• Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation
• Experience designing with common construction materials: steel, concrete, masonry or wood
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
• Revit and/or AutoCAD proficiency preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems.
• Perform structural analysis and design for Energy and Industrial structures and related systems.
• Develop construction documents and provide construction administration services.
• Perform site visits, client meetings, and coordination with the project team.
