Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Structural Engineer in Tucson, AZ to lead structural analysis and testing for high temperature material systems such as refractory metals, ceramics and CMCs. The role requires hands-on use of FEA tools and data-driven testing across development and production phases.

The candidate will serve as a technical SME, define analysis scope, mentor peers, and interact with internal programs and government customers. This is an onsite position in Tucson.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with extensive relevant experience.
• Experience with high temperature material systems for hypersonic aerospace.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and testing across program phases.
• Coordinate and lead technical peer reviews ensuring accuracy of work.
• Generate and present results to stakeholders and customers.
