Job summary

RTX, a leader in aerospace and defense, seeks a Senior Principal Structural Engineer, High Temp Materials, to join the Mechanical Analysis and Test Department in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role focuses on high-temperature structural analyses and testing for development and production programs.

You will conduct analyses from hand calculations to finite element methods, design test plans, review peers, and present results to internal and external customers. U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree plus 10 years of experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Experience in structural analysis using PATRAN/NASTRAN/ANSYS.
• Experience with CMH-17 guidelines and high-temperature materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analyses for diverse programs from development to production.
• Lead testing and characterize high-temperature material systems.
• Develop test plans, validate models, and present results to stakeholders.
• Mentor peers and lead technical reviews within MA&T.
