Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Principal Structural Engineer, High Temp Materials to drive design and analysis of high-temperature structural systems using refractory metals, ceramics, and ceramic matrix composites (CMC’s).

You will perform detailed analyses, develop test plans, and lead peer reviews across programs, with opportunities to shape MA&T processes and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 10+ years experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Experience in structural analysis using FE tools (PATRAN/NASTRAN/ANSYS).
• Ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and testing to support all program phases.
• Develop test plans and validate hardware to meet customer requirements.
• Lead technical peer reviews and present results to stakeholders.
• Travel to test sites as needed and contribute to MA&T processes.
