Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Structural Engineer to support federal construction and facility projects at Fort Hood, TX.

You will evaluate structural integrity, review designs, and ensure compliance with building codes and project requirements. You will work with government personnel, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to provide technical guidance, QA oversight, and recommendations throughout design and construction.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience on federal/DoD projects preferred.
• Experience with foundations, buildings, roads, bridges, dams and other structures preferred.
• Experience with RMS preferred.
• Experience with federal facilities including admin buildings, airfield facilities, and multi-use facilities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate the structural integrity of facilities.
• Review and recommend for approval structural design plans submitted by the design team.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.
• Provide recommendations for structural enhancements, if necessary.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress of structural work.
• Verify that construction activities align with approved design plans.
• Address and resolve any structural issues that may arise during construction.
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Attend project meetings to provide updates on structural aspects.
• Participate in design reviews and provide comments on contractor-submitted structural engineering designs and plans.
• Provide quality assurance oversight and recommend corrective actions to ensure high-quality project performance.
• Provide safety oversight and support corrective actions to ensure worker and public safety.
• Assist in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding structural engineering requirements and deliverables.
• Document contractor progress and provide reports regarding construction activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
